Custom Latex Work for Maison Margiela Artisanal Couture 2024
Our team collaborated with Maison Margiela again for their exciting new artisanal collection, Spring Couture 2024. Creative Director John Galliano captures a moment in time: a walk through the underbelly of Paris, offline. Presaged by a cinematic prelude, the show manifests in a multi-disciplinary staging seeped in the eerie, rainy ambience of Paris by night. We created latex hotpants, providing contrasts to the rest of the collection with lace and tulle. It was an absolute pleasure to work with the Margiela team on this collection, the show was a masterpiece!
"Back-smocked pea coat imbued with the emotional cut of a shelter gesture in a milletrage composed of check-printed cotton lining, white triple organza, white felt and anthracite twill-printed wool, gouttoir-coated with seeping silicone and hand-embroidered crystal raindrop beading, worn over a black wool polo neck, a black leather cincher and black rubber knickers. A brown tweed-printed emotional-cut wool crêpe cap, a black felt loup by Stephen Jones for Maison Margiela, black silk socks, and black leather Tabi lace-up boots by Christian Louboutin for Maison Margiela."
